Biography
They're dirty, rough, loud, mean, upbeat, energetic, in your face, and hard all rolled into one epic stone of mother rocking triumph!!!
Originally formed in 2004 by Jake James (lead singer, guitarist & songwriter) and Dave Austin (drummer), they’ve spent the past 5 years performing alongside an endless list of independent Australian rock acts, whilst developing their chops, and searching for all the heads, Luke Baird (bass) & Locky Beresford (lead guitar) to what is now the four piece maniacal beast SPARK-IRIS!
In December of 2008 when they took on their name, they had already long ago begun independently producing what would become their epic, 6 track, debut EP Break The Chain with Engineer & Producer Sam Lowe at Salt Studios.
So far for 2010, they’ve indiscriminately obliged to rock any stage, anytime, anywhere! They’ve mercilessly kicked off the year by literally blowing the roof off the stage at XBR Summer Series in Sydney. With their mainly 'Hard Rock' sound, they managed to win over the highly Heavy Metal audiences of Moe Mayhem with their straight up explosive rock show.
They’ve headlined at the Espy Gershwin room twice; both times to a packed out room fist pumping to their high energy performance and expletive infused rock, including the launch of their debut E.P. Break The Chain, which has already begun to send shockwaves through the nation, receiving airplay by popular demand by Ugly Phil on Triple M, who mentioned the band every night on air for 2 months! They’ve hungrily hit the streets, spreading their name, delivering their music, building hype, and consistently backing it up by executing pure and utterly solid hard rock shows, again and again, always upping the anti, and always bringing larger crowds.
All of that is just the beginning! Now, they’re gearing up to back-hand not only the streets of Melbourne, but the sun burnt crust of their entire nation with the same malevolent and unrelenting gusto that has seen the band refuse to halter, and rather, brutally smash through any adversity with contempt.
